Frequently Asked Questions

Does it cost anything to teach at Huntsville Art Supplies?

No upfront costs or sneaky “sucker taxes” here! Our fair 30-70 fee split means 30% covers studio space and admin (think easels, monitors, and killer promotion), plus a 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction fee. You pocket the rest of the class fees to keep shining!

If it’s a multi-day class, how do you pay the instructor?

We’ve a straightforward payment plan. For multi-day classes, we pay you 50% of your share (that’s 70% of the class fees) at the start of the class. The remaining 50% is paid upon class completion.

What’s the average cost that instructors charge?

It’s your class, your call! Instructors typically charge $30-$75 per student for a 2-3 hour session, depending on materials and expertise (e.g., oil painting vs. hand lettering). Multi-day workshops might run $100-$250 per student. We’ll help you price it right to attract our community of eager artists.

What information do you need from me to propose a class?

No stress here—we just need the deets to make your class a hit! When you apply, please provide:

  • Min/Max Students: Your preferred minimum (e.g., 4) and maximum (e.g., 12) number of students to keep it manageable.
  • Class Duration: How long each session runs (e.g., 2 hours, 3 days at 3 hours each).
