About the Artist:
Lexie is an award-winning watercolor artist born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, with a lifelong love for color, storytelling, and the Southern landscape. Her work celebrates the beauty of everyday life, blending history, faith, and imagination through luminous watercolor washes. Lexie’s paintings have been featured in galleries, museums, and shops across North Alabama, and she continues to share her art through exhibitions, local retailers, and her online studio. When she’s not painting, she enjoys exploring new creative outlets and spending time with her family and beloved pets.
What You’ll Learn:
- How to create a glowing watercolor galaxy using wet-on-wet techniques
- Blending rich, luminous colors to build depth and atmosphere
- Creating stars, light effects, and cosmic texture
- How to use provided silhouette templates to create clean, bold focal points
- Tips for controlling watercolor flow while keeping things loose and expressive
Students will choose from a selection of pre-made silhouette templates — ranging from classic romantic imagery to fun, fandom-inspired couples — allowing everyone to focus on painting while still creating a personal, finished piece.

WHAT TO BRING:
If you’re bringing your own supplies, here’s what you may want to have. You may also use instructor supplies for an additional fee:

Watercolor paper (I can purchase an Arches pad if that makes sense)

Daniel Smith colors: Carb Violet, Phthalo Green (Blue Shade), Indigo, Quinacridone Magenta

- Pencils, paper towels, water cups are provided.

Park in the gravel parking lot near the Smoke Stack,
Go to door 16 (it is the door next to the large blue tile mosaic)
Go up stairs (2nd floor), turn left, and we are the 1st door on the left.

At the end of the party there will be the big reveals, where you'll have the opportunity to video each other and the instructor can as well.

Our staff are compensated, however they are also very professional and love encouragement from party goers. We recommend a 15% tip.

At Huntsville Art Supplies, we understand that plans can change. To ensure a smooth experience for all, please review our class cancellation policy below:
Cancellations by Customers: If you need to cancel your registration for a class, please notify us at least 72 hours before the scheduled class start time.
Store or Class Credit: Cancellations meeting the above timeframe will receive a gift card for the full amount of the class fee. This gift card can be used toward any in-store purchase or applied to a future class of your choice.
No Refunds for Customer Cancellations: Unless canceled by Huntsville Art Supplies or the instructor, we do not offer cash refunds for class cancellations. All credits will be issued as a gift card.
Late Cancellations or No-Shows: Cancellations within 72 hours of the class or failure to attend without prior notice will not be eligible for a gift card or credit.
Cancellations by Huntsville Art Supplies or Instructor: If Huntsville Art Supplies or the instructor cancels a class, a full refund will be issued to the original payment method.
How to Cancel: To cancel, please contact us at 256-203-3698 or info@huntsvilleartsupplies.com with your name and class details (do not message us through Instagram, Facebook or other means as those channels are not closely monitored).
